The Greatwood Wand Core is an inherently unlocked research option under the Thaumaturgy tab that allows the creation of the Greatwood Rod, a component used in some recipes and in the creation of Wands, Staves and Scepters. The Greatwood Rod is a large step up from the mundane wooden Core, and makes an all around decent wand, especially when paired with Gold Caps, bringing the Vis usage to 100% without other influences. The Greatwood Wand Core can be created with 2 Greatwood logs placed diagonally in an Arcane Workbench, along with 24 Perditio Vis. When used to create a wand, the core can hold up to 250 points of Vis, with no added benefits - 150 more than the aforementioned wooden Core.
